◎Cosa fanno le app

Il LIBOR non esiste più: gli ultimi panel sono cessati nel 2023 e ogni valuta principale è passata a un nuovo tasso di riferimento. Libor X raccoglie i successori in un'unica schermata, per iPhone e iPad:

I dati si aggiornano da soli all'avvio e l'app funziona anche offline, mostrando gli ultimi valori scaricati.

Esiste in due versioni, identiche nelle funzioni: Libor X (a pagamento, senza alcuna pubblicità) e LiborX Light (gratuita, sostenuta dagli annunci). Questa guida vale per entrambe.

▦La schermata Markets

In alto i quattro tassi CME Term SOFR, uno per scheda: valore, variazione rispetto al fixing precedente, mini-grafico degli ultimi tre mesi e data del fixing.

Sotto, i tassi overnight delle quattro valute in righe compatte. Sono molto stabili da un giorno all'altro, per questo non hanno un grafico in elenco: tocca una riga per aprire quello completo.

• Ogni tasso mostra la propria data: è normale che i Term SOFR siano avanti di un giorno rispetto agli overnight, perché gli amministratori non pubblicano tutti insieme.
• Il SARON può essere negativo: non è un errore, la Svizzera convive da tempo con tassi sotto zero.

Per aggiornare: trascina verso il basso oppure tocca il pulsante ⟳ in alto.

📈Il grafico storico

Tocca una scheda o una riga per aprire il grafico del tasso. Puoi scegliere l'intervallo — 1M, 6M, 1Y, 2Y o Max — e scorrere il dito sul grafico per leggere il valore esatto di ogni giornata. Sotto trovi minimo, massimo, media e variazione del periodo in basis point.

🌍La schermata Global

È il confronto tra i mercati (su iPad si trova in fondo alla schermata principale):

• USD term curve — la curva Term SOFR da 1 a 12 mesi, confrontata con com'era 3 mesi e 1 anno fa, con una lettura in parole semplici: se la curva sale il mercato si aspetta tassi più alti, se è invertita sconta tagli della Fed.
• Rate ranking — quale valuta paga di più oggi, in un colpo d'occhio.
• One year, four currencies — i quattro tassi overnight sovrapposti sugli ultimi 12 mesi.

▣La pubblicità — solo LiborX Light

LiborX Light è gratuita grazie agli annunci di Google AdMob: un banner nelle schermate principali e, ogni tanto, un annuncio a schermo intero. Libor X non contiene alcuna pubblicità.

Al primo avvio LiborX Light ti chiede le preferenze sul consenso (annunci personalizzati o generici); l'app non richiede mai il tracciamento di Apple. Puoi cambiare idea in ogni momento dal pulsante Opzioni privacy nella scheda Info. I dettagli sono nell'informativa sulla privacy.

✉Notifiche

L'app può avvisarti con una notifica quando ci sono novità sui tassi. L'autorizzazione viene chiesta al primo avvio; puoi cambiarla in ogni momento da Impostazioni → Notifiche.

🗣Lingue

Le app sono disponibili in inglese, italiano, francese, spagnolo e tedesco e seguono automaticamente la lingua del dispositivo. Per cambiarla: Impostazioni → App → nome dell'app → Lingua.

?Problemi comuni

• I tassi non si aggiornano — verifica la connessione e riprova con ⟳. Senza rete l'app mostra gli ultimi dati scaricati.
• Manca il dato di oggi — i fixing vengono pubblicati solo nei giorni lavorativi, mai nel weekend o nei festivi; il dato di un giorno arriva in genere il giorno successivo.
• I tassi hanno date diverse tra loro — è normale: ogni amministratore pubblica con tempi propri. Ogni tasso indica la sua data.
• Il SARON è negativo — è corretto, non è un errore di segno.
• La variazione segna «= 0,000» — il tasso non si è mosso in modo apprezzabile rispetto al fixing precedente.
• Il grafico è vuoto — serve almeno un aggiornamento riuscito: riprova con la rete attiva.
• Lo spazio del banner è vuoto (solo Light) — può capitare quando non ci sono annunci disponibili o manca la rete: non è un errore.

◎What the apps do

LIBOR is gone: the final panels ended in 2023 and every major currency moved to a new benchmark. Libor X gathers the successors on a single board, for iPhone and iPad:

Data refreshes by itself at launch and the app also works offline, showing the last values downloaded.

It comes in two versions, identical in features: Libor X (paid, with no advertising at all) and LiborX Light (free, supported by ads). This guide covers both.

▦The Markets screen

At the top, the four CME Term SOFR rates, one card each: value, change from the previous fixing, a three-month mini chart and the fixing date.

Below them, the overnight rates of the four currencies in compact rows. They barely move from one day to the next, which is why they carry no chart in the list: tap a row to open the full one.

• Every rate shows its own date: Term SOFR being a day ahead of the overnight rates is normal — administrators don't all publish at the same time.
• SARON can be negative: that's not an error, Switzerland has long lived with sub-zero rates.

To refresh: pull down or tap the ⟳ button at the top.

📈The historical chart

Tap a card or a row to open that rate's chart. Pick the range — 1M, 6M, 1Y, 2Y or Max — and drag your finger across the chart to read the exact value for any day. Below it you get the period's low, high, average and change in basis points.

🌍The Global screen

This is where the markets are compared (on iPad it sits at the bottom of the main screen):

• USD term curve — the Term SOFR curve from 1 to 12 months, against where it stood 3 months and 1 year ago, with a plain-language reading: an upward curve means markets expect higher rates, an inverted one means they are pricing in Fed cuts.
• Rate ranking — which currency pays the most today, at a glance.
• One year, four currencies — the four overnight rates overlaid across the last 12 months.

▣Advertising — LiborX Light only

LiborX Light is free thanks to Google AdMob ads: a banner on the main screens and, now and then, a full-screen ad. Libor X contains no advertising at all.

At first launch LiborX Light asks for your consent preferences (personalized or generic ads); the app never requests Apple's tracking permission. You can change your mind at any time from the Privacy options button in the Info tab. Details are in the privacy policy.

If you prefer an ad-free experience, look for Libor X on the App Store.

✉Notifications

The app can notify you when there is news about the rates. Permission is requested at first launch; you can change it at any time in Settings → Notifications.

🗣Languages

The apps are available in English, Italian, French, Spanish and German and follow your device language automatically. To change it: Settings → Apps → app name → Language.

?Common issues

• Rates don't refresh — check your connection and try again with ⟳. With no network the app shows the last data downloaded.
• Today's value is missing — fixings are published on business days only, never at weekends or on holidays; a given day's value usually arrives the day after.
• Rates show different dates — that's normal: each administrator publishes on its own schedule. Every rate states its own date.
• SARON is negative — that's correct, not a sign error.
• The change reads “= 0.000” — the rate did not move appreciably from the previous fixing.
• The chart is empty — at least one successful refresh is needed: try again with the network on.
• The banner space is blank (Light only) — this can happen when no ad is available or the network is down: it is not an error.
